Let It Sparkle

Hi there!!  Welcome back to another theme reveal for the Always Fun Challenges blog.  The theme this week is called “Let It Sparkle”.  I chose to do a shaker card which has lots of yummy sparkles.  This was my first time using the Secret Garden set by Simon Says Stamp and I am loving it!  It’s just such an adorable set.  I wasn’t quite sure what I was going to do with the background though so I made it up as I went.

I started by coloring the fairy first.  I’m very pleased with how she turned out.  Once I had the fairy colored, I moved on to the house.  I chose to match the house to the fairy.  Isn’t she just the cutest??

While I was coloring the fairy, I started flipping through all of my past cards to find a skin tone and hair color that I liked and it doing so, I ran across a beautiful distressed background that I did awhile back for a mermaid card that I had created.  This is the card that inspired the background for my fairy card.  I absolutely LOVE these two colors together.

I used Peacock Feathers and Twisted Citron to make this gorgeous background.  It works great for a mermaid card AND a fairy one!
