Welcome back my crafty compadres!! It’s Wednesday which means…
The challenge this week is
Anything Goes
We’re featuring Doodlebug products this week. If you own anything from Doodlebug, we’d love to see you use it, but it’s certainly not a requirement to join the fun!!
Each week Simon Says Stamp generously gives away a $50 voucher to one lucky (randomly selected) winner to use at the fabulous Simon Says Stamp store.
I’m going to keep this post nice and short. I had some medical schtuff come up this last weekend which landed me in the hospital overnight and it put me behind a bit so no video this week and a SUPER easy card.Sadly, I don’t own much from Doodlebug so it was either this paper pack or a 4th of July paper pad and I just love the black, white and silver that this pad had in it.I finished my card off using some Nuvo drops, but after doing so, I realized that I do have TONS of Doodlebug enamel dots that I could have used!! Darn it..
And now it’s your turn!! Grab your Doodlebug goodies and join us!! You have until Wed. 8am Ohio time. 1pm UK time, 2 pm CET to join in
Do you use Instagram ? If so please add #ssswchallenge to your challenge entry uploads so we can see them on there too.

I’ll see you next week with a new theme and hopefully a new video!!
Thank you all for joining us last week for the Stencil It challenge and we hope you will join us again this week too. This week the challenge is
Use More Than One Stamp
We are showcasing Honey Bee products this week. You don’t have to use them to join us, but if you have any Honey Bee products, we’d love to see you use them.
Each week Simon Says Stamp will randomly draw one lucky winner to receive a $50 shopping spree for our favorite One Stop Shop.
I just recently purchased this Blah Bunny stamp set and the sentiments to match called Blah Blah Blah. They just so happen to be from Honey Bee Stamps so I knew right away which stamps I was going to use.
I copic colored the bunny using E42, E43, E44, E47 and R20 and R30 for the ears and pads. I colored the oval frame using R89 then used craft foam to add dimension. I stamped my sentiment in Merlot by SSS. Isn’t that a beautiful color? Especially paired with the Fog card stock. Using the Time for Wine stamp set also by SSS, I stamped wine glasses all over the background with Fog Ink.
Since I didn’t add any embellishments to the card front, I decided to add a little copic colored wine glass to the inside of the card, which is also part of the Time for Wine set.
If you’d like to see how I made this card, just click on the video below or head to my YouTube channel for a list of all of my videos.
And now it’s your turn!! Grab a couple of stamps and join us!! You have until Wed 8am Ohio time. 1pm UK time, 2 pm CET to join in
Hello friends!! Hope you are having a fabulous week so far. I’m so excited to announce the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge. I’ve been DYING to say that!!! The challenge this week is:
Stencil It
We are showcasing Simon Says Stamp products. If you own anything from Simon Says Stamp, we’d love to see you use it, but it’s certainly not a requirement to join the fun!!
Each week Simon Says Stamp generously gives away a $50 voucher to one lucky (randomly selected) winner to use at the fabulous Simon Says Stamp store.
This is my first post as a Design Team Member for Simon Says Stamp’s Wednesday Challenge. SQUEAL!!! That will never get old!! I am still pinching myself. I didn’t get to join in at the beginning of May due to some pesky health issues, but the important thing is I’m here now!!
Then I just cut the Script Mom die using Neenah Solar White 80 lb. card stock and black card stock by SSS. On that same black card stock, I heat embossed the “Happy Mother’s Day” from the Mother’s Day Zingers stamp set in white embossing powder. I popped the “Mom” and the “Happy Mother’s Day” up on some foam squares and lastly added a few Nuvo drops.
If you’d like to see how easy it was to make this card, just watch my video below or head to my YouTube channel for a list of all my videos.

Hello, dear crafty friends!! I have a fun project to share with you for the Simon Says Stamp Sending Sunshine release that went live today!! I decided to get a jump start on my Father’s Day cards so this one is for my Dad. I thought it would be fun to do a glow in the dark night sky using the brand new Star Stream stamp set.
I had a lot of fun creating this card. I used distress oxide inks to create the night sky. I used a toothbrush to flick some White Picket Fence distress ink to make it look like stars. I also flicked some water and dabbed it up with a paper towel. To finish the background, I sprayed the whole thing with Sheer Shimmer Spritz in Sparkle.
I did some simple copic coloring for the adorable little bears using E43, E44, E47, E49. Then I heat embossed the “Dad” sentiment on SSS black card stock using white embossing powder. To make my stars glow in the dark, I used a Versamarker and colored just the stars, then heat embossed them with glow in the dark embossing powder. I repeated the process to make sure they were nice and covered. You can see in my video below the difference between only one layer of glow in the dark embossing powder and two. I couldn’t get a great photo in the dark, but you can see it really good in the video.
And that’s it for this one. If you’d like to see my process, check out the video below or head to my YouTube channel to browse my growing collection of videos. Thank you so much for stopping by!!
Below the video is a list of the products I used to make this card. Below that is the new Sending Sunshine release.
Well normally I’d be sharing a card with you, but this is even better!! As my last post said, I’m taking a little time to take care of myself and deal with some little health annoyances, I’ll call them. But meanwhile, something absolutely, totally, insanely amazing happened and I just can’t wait any longer to share the news!!
For starters, it didn’t quite work out with Drive By Crafts. My heart has always been with Simon Says Stamp. If you look at my work, you’ll see that I use a lot of Simon products. I just really love their designs and all the wonderful products from so many different companies that I can get all in one place. Well, first the amazing opportunity to be a part of Simon Says Stamp Exclusive Release Design Team came about, starting with the Fluttering By Release (and another one is coming soon!!) and now I’ve been chosen to be on the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Design Team!!!! YAAAAAYY!!! I could not be more excited about this new adventure. And while I’d love to be sharing with you my first card for Simon Says Stamp right about now, I also know that I need to take care of myself . So as soon as I am able, I will be back soon to share my very first project with you!!
Another big change for me is I’ve retired from the Always Fun Challenges design team. I had so much fun and challenged myself in ways I never would have without Amy’s awesome challenges and I want to thank Amy for giving me that opportunity to grow and discover my style over this past year.
And that’s all the change I can handle for now. If you haven’t checked out the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge, head over and join the fun!! You can win a $50 shopping voucher at Simon Says Stamp each week!!
