wed-newchallenge-header

Hello crafty friends!! Please join me for a new challenge at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge.

This week the challenge is

 Anything Goes

We are showcasing Simon Says Stamp Products this week.  If you have any of these products, we’d love to see them used, but it’s certainly not a requirement to join the challenge.
As always, the generous folks at Simon Says Stamp will be giving away a $50 voucher to one randomly selected winner to shop at the fabulous Simon Says Stamp Store.

I’ve been wanting to use this Deco Diamonds background stamp for a bit now so I made a couple different background panels.  First I heat embossed clear embossing powder on Fog card stock and then I heat embossed white embossing powder on Fog card stock.  I took a piece of scrap Bristol paper and ink blended a little Wilted Violet Distress Ink.  Then I used it to cut the Big Thanks die.  I heat embossed the rest of the sentiment on black card stock with white embossing powder.  I added a couple Nuvo drops in Crushed Grapes and Ebony Black

I cut the background down to 4″ by 5.25″ and added a black card base.

This card was even easier.  All I did was cut out a square using the stitched square die by Lawn Fawn and added another layer with black card stock.  I white heat embossed my sentiment from the Playful Messages stamp set.  I cut the background image down to 4″ by 5.25″ again and added it to a black card base.  I added a couple Onyx Crystals from Studio Katia for a little embellishment.

For this last one, I used the Folk Dance Background stamp and I heat embossed it with white embossing powder on Bristol Smooth card stock.  Then I ink blended Distress Oxides in Picked Raspberry, Orange Marmalade, Squeezed Lemonade, Twisted Citron and Broken China.  Again, I cut the Big Thanks die out of black and white card stock.  I used the “You’re a Stellar Human” stamp from the Simple Sentiments stamp set and added some Nuvo drops in Caribbean Ocean, Carnation Pink and Ripened Pumpkin.

I cut my front panel down again and added to another black card base.

And since the inside was black, I added a panel to write a message on and I stamped the same Folk Dance image on the inside using Fog ink.
I went over both of the ‘Thanks’ die with a Nuvo Aqua Shimmer pen
So now it’s YOUR turn, Happy Crafting!!
