Some Bunny Loves You

Hello crafty friends!! Please join me for a new challenge at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge.  This week the challenge is

Black & White + One Other Color

We are showcasing Avery Elle Products this week.  If you have any of these products, we’d love to see them used, but it’s certainly not a requirement to join the challenge.

As always, the generous folks at Simon Says Stamp will be giving away a $50 voucher to one randomly selected winner to shop at the fabulous Simon Says Stamp Store.

This card came together seamlessly. It was one of those that just worked. I’m sure using minimal supplies had a little to do with that. I used my Mini Misti to stamp out my images on watercolor paper using Ranger Archival Jet Black ink. Then I colored my adorable little bunny from the Some Bunny stamp set by Avery Elle using the Gray Brown (094) Zig Clean Color Real Brush. I softened the color with a water brush. Then I added a touch of Blush (069) to the ears and cheeks.

Once I had my bunny colored, I moved on to the giant balloon. I colored this with Victorian Velvet Distress Oxide ink which is one of my favorite distress colors.

Using some Neenah Solar White 80 lb. card stock, I cut out this gorgeous background die by Altenew called Dotted Scales Debossing Cover Die.

Then I used the Victorian Velvet D.O. to add a little color behind where my balloon was going to go. I just wanted a very soft layer of color. I used a die called Postage Stamp die by Avery Elle for my frame and layered it up 3 layers. I colored my top layer with the Victorian Velvet D.O. ink.

I fussy cut my images out and popped my balloon up on some foam tape. To finish my project off, I added a couple Assorted Moonshine sequins by SSS and then added a touch of Nuvo Glitter Drops in Silver Moondust just to the center of the larger sequins. My final touch was to add some Wink of Stella to the bunnies ears and tail. I added my design to an A2 sized top folding card base using Neenah Solar White 110 lb. card stock. There’s a couple little stamps that are included in this set so I used a couple of them to stamp a little surprise on the inside of the card.

Prisma colored pencils used: Nectar, Peach and Pink Rose
