Hello crafty friends!! Please join me for a new challenge at the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge. This week the challenge is
Spring Mood Board
We are showcasing Simon Says Stamp Products this week. If you have any of these products, we’d love to see them used, but it’s certainly not a requirement to join the challenge.
As always, the generous folks at Simon Says Stamp will be giving away a $50 voucher to one randomly selected winner to shop at the fabulous Simon Says Stamp Store. You can enter 5 times which means you can make 5 different projects following this week’s prompt and have 5 chances to win a shopping spree!! Sounds like a win/win to me!! You will find a list of all the products that I used as well as my process video down below.

Ok, how flippin CUUUTE is this mood board?!? It gives me the feels just looking at all this adorable-ness.

I don’t have any new baby cards in my stash so I went in a different directions that I had originally planned. I thought I was going to use the Four Seasons Sayings stamp set and die for this challenge but as I was sitting down to start creating, I veered off course and landed on this neutral baby themed card.

I started off by creating my background first. I used the Quilted Hearts Background stamp on Fog card stock and heat embossed it with Ranger White Super Fine Detail embossing powder. Then I stamped these adorable little bunnies and chicks from the Bunny Wishes stamp set on Tim Holtz Watercolor paper using clear ink and heat embossed them with Ranger Black Super Fine embossing powder.

I colored my images using Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. For the mama bunny I use Brick Beige and for the baby I used Warm Gray 2. I colored the insides of their ears and cheeks and baby’s sweet little feet with Pale Pink. I used Yellow for the chick and bow. Then I fussy cut my images.

I needed something to stamp the sentiments on since I couldn’t stamp them over the top of the heat embossed background so I dug through my dies and found this older die by MFT called Stitched Rounded Rectangle Stax die which fit my images just perfectly. Using my Mini Misti I stamped my sentiments above and below where I wanted my bunnies to go.
I used Scotch 3M Foam Tape and Large Foam Squares to pop the bunnies up a little and then started to put everything together. I used Neenah Solar White 110 lb. card stock for my top folding card base. I attached my background to the card base using Tombow Mono Multi Liquid Glue. Then I attached the front panel the same way.

So now it’s YOUR turn. Happy Crafting!!
