Hello crafty friends!! Please join me for a new challenge at the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge.
This week the challenge is:
Bling It On
We are showcasing Stamping Bella Products this week. If you have any of these products, we’d love to see them used, but it’s certainly not a requirement to join the challenge.
As always, the generous folks at Simon Says Stamp are giving away a $50 voucher to one randomly selected winner to shop at the fabulous Simon Says Stamp Store. You can join 5 times which means you have 5 chances to win a shopping spree!! All you have to do is take out your crafty supplies, make something following this week’s prompt, and add a link in the Inlinkz at the bottom of this week’s Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge. Sounds like a win/win to me!! Good luck to everyone! The Design Team is looking forward to seeing your crafty makes and will pop around to visit you ASAP!
I’ve linked all of the supplies that I used at the end of this post. Compensated affiliate links used where possible at no cost to you.

Well I hope everyone is enjoying all of the fun Stamptember goodness that’s been going on so far this month. Starting off with the latest SSS Exclusive Stamptember release. WOW!! If you haven’t seen it yet, click here. And I just saw the new Art Impressions line and I ooh’d and awe’d my way through it. So much cuteness!! I gotta mention the AWESOME collaborations, of course. It’s so hard though because every day there is a new collab, so I don’t want to jump and order the first thing I see, but if you wait, you risk it selling out!! I’m trying to refrain from placing a new order everyday. Can you imagine?!!? I think my hubby would divorce me…
Ok, back to my card that I made for this week’s challenge. I had so much fun making this card. I’m just so excited to be crafting again!! I had to do a little bit of everything for this card. I did some ink blending, stenciling, copic coloring and of course I had to turn it into a blinged out shaker card.

I ink blended Tumbled Glass, Peacock Feathers, Chipped Sapphire and Black Soot distress inks. I used the new Liquid Stardust by Lawn Fawn to splatter my background. What a beautiful product that is. I can see myself using it on many cards. Then I used the Ocean Scene Builder stencil by Honey Bee Stamps. I love that it comes with 4 different stencils!! I used one of the rays stencils from the set with Delicata White Shimmer pigment ink and the 2nd rays stencil from the set with Nuvo Moonstone Glimmer Paste. I cut my window out using a die from the Rounded Rectangles Infinity dies by Hero Arts, making sure I left enough room around the frame for my foam tape. Then I Copic Colored my images.

Next I worked on the acetate. I used Heat Resistant Acetate and white heat embossed a sentiment from the Magical Unicorns stamp set by MFT. I used my Anti-Static Pouch generously to make sure that the embossing powder wouldn’t cling horribly to the acetate.

I used foam tape to build up my shaker window. I decided to use 2 layers of the foam tape because I popped my mermaid up with foam squares so that the sequins would fall behind her, so 2 layers were necessary so that the shaker bits could move around freely.

Doubling up the foam tape like that left more room to see around the background piece or the negative part of my rounded rectangle cut. It was bothering me to see the white card base through the sides of the shaker and around the outer edge of my card (I even tried a black base but I wasn’t satisfied) so I quickly ink blended the same distress ink colors onto my top folding card base so that the the colors would all be cohesive no matter which angle you look at it.

I placed my sequins and jewels inside my shaker and closed it up!

Since this challenge is all about the bling, I decided to add a few Iridescent Bubbles by Studio Katia over the top of some of the bubbles that I heat embossed on the acetate. I absolutely LOVE these bubbles. I think they were that finishing touch that my card needed.

So now it’s YOUR turn. Happy Crafting!!
