It’s another new release at Simon Says Stamp!!! It’s called Make Merry and you and get there by clicking HERE or scrolling down to the bottom of this post. All I want to do is make Christmas cards now!! What a beautiful release this is!! I LOVE seeing all of the holiday goodies and I couldn’t wait to place my order.
I know I’m a little bit late sharing this, life gets in the way sometimes but I did make a card and I’m excited to share it with you.
To start out I took a piece of Sea Glass card stock and used a slimline die called Slim Diagonal Stitched Rectangle to cut it to size. Then I took the trees from the Chunky Christmas stamp set and the ‘Jingle All the Way’ from the Good Cheer stamp set and heat embossed them with Silver Hologram Sparkle. I didn’t like it on the ‘Jingle All the Way’ so I heat embossed it again but this time with silver embossing powder.
I still didn’t like the way the ‘All the Way’ portion of the sentiment looked so I decided to heat emboss it one more time only this time I did it on black card stock with white embossing powder. Third time is a charm!! I loved the contrast that this provided. I popped it up with a couple black foam squares to add some dimension.
Once I was happy with the coloring, I went over it with my glitter pen to add a little extra sparkle. I used the Large Falling Snow stencil by Simon Says Stamp and some embossing paste and added a nice light layer of snow.
I added a few Silver Pearls for an embellishment.
To finish off my card, I added my card front to a top folding card base measuring 8.5″ x 3.5″.
Below is a list of all of the products I used to make this card and right below that is the entire new release by Simon Says Stamp. You gotta check it out, there’s so many awesome stamps and dies and stencils in this release!! Happy Shopping, my friends!!
I’m also entering this into this week’s Simon Says Stamp Flickr Challenge #160.
