Hello crafty friends!! Please join me for a new challenge at the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge. This week the challenge is
Anything Goes
We are showcasing Pink and Main Products this week. If you have any of these products, we’d love to see them used, but it’s certainly not a requirement to join the challenge.
As always, the generous folks at Simon Says Stamp will be giving away a $25 voucher to one randomly selected winner to shop at the fabulous Simon Says Stamp Store. You can enter 5 times which means you can make 5 different projects following this week’s prompt and have 5 chances to win a shopping spree!! Sounds like a win/win to me!! I’ve linked all of the supplies that I used at the end of this post. Compensated affiliate links used where possible at no cost to you.

I used the Bubbly Waves Stencil by Pink and Main to make 2 backgrounds and I ended up making 5 cards out of it, using the negatives as well. I used Deco Foil Transfer Gel over the stencil and let it dry.

Using my Minc Machine (or a laminator), I ran the card stock with the dried transfer gel on it and Deco Foil Rainbow Shattered Glass Transfer Sheet through the Minc machine and got this beautiful rainbow background. I set the negative aside for my next card. The Hello is from the stamp set Hello Lovely by Concord and 9th, which I white heat embossed on black card stock. I popped it up using Simon’s 3D Foam Squares. But I can’t for the life of me figure out where this Friend die came from or who makes it so if you know, PLEASE comment below and let me know. I would be forever grateful.

This card has so much color that I didn’t want to add any more so I added a subtle touch of color by die cutting the friend using several colorful card stocks and stacking them together. I used Doll Pink, Orange Peel, Banana Yellow, Island Blue and Royal Purple. I think it gives it a little something special without being overpowering.

I trimmed the panel down to 3.5″ x 4.75″ using one of my A2 Layers die by Waffle Flower. I used this size so that I could also create a black border and still have it framed in white. The black card stock is trimmed to 4″ x 5.5″. To finish this card off, I attached it to a top folding card base and went over the word friend with my Aqua Shimmer Pen.

I stretched the negative to give me two additional cards by cutting the A2 size panel diagonally. I had this really cool crocodile skin black card stock in my stash (I think from an old Simon Says Stamp Card Kit) so I also cut this diagonally.

To bring the two halves together I cut a thin strip of Silver Glitter card stock and glued it at the seam. I used the Happy Birthday Brush Script die to finish this card off. I popped the sentiment up using Black 3D Foam Squares. To add a little more dimension, I die cut the HB 3 times and glued them together.

I attached everything to a top folding card base.

For this second half, I die cut the Thanks On a Line die three times and stacked them.

I wanted to leave the white half nice and simple so I just added a few Onyx Crystals.

For my second background, I did the same as the first only this time I used a Pewter Transfer Sheet. I trimmed it to a square using a stitched square die.

I used the Dude die and Slate Gray card stock for my sentiment. I popped the panel up using craft foam and attached to a top folding black card base.

For my 5th and final card I used the negative from the pewter panel and cut it to a circle using my Nested Circle die. I cut a panel of Fog Gray card stock with the same A2 Layers die as above and embossed it with the Dibble Dot Embossing Folder. I learned the hard way to die cut first, then emboss. I did it in reverse and as soon as I ran it through my Gemini, it flattened the embossed background. I knew better, I guess I just wasn’t paying attention. I popped the embossed panel up using some craft foam and attached it to just under A2 size black background. I wanted just a thin layer of white around the entire card.

My sentiment is the same font as the “Friend” above so again, I have no idea who makes it or what it’s called. It may have came as a set, Hello Friend. I only think this because the “E’s” are exactly the same. I used my Poppin Pink Electro Pop ink pad and inked white card stock. Then I cut the word Hello out of the inked card stock. I repeated this process one more time. For my third layer, I cut the Hello out of white card stock and offset it a bit so you can see the white layer as well. The shadow part of the die I cut it out of vellum. I went over the pink with my Aqua Shimmer Pen to add a little sparkle. The 2nd part of my sentiment is from the Hello You stamp set. To finish my card off, I added a few Iridescent Tiny Bubbles.
So now it’s YOUR turn. Happy Crafting!!
