Sounds like a win/win to me!! I’ve linked all of the supplies that I used at the end of this post. Compensated affiliate links used where possible at no cost to you.

I had fun channeling my inner Rina K for these cards. I did the same process on all 4 cards. I used Rina K inks and I ink blended them onto a piece of Neenah 110 lb. card stock.

I put the Gina K Water Droplets Stencil over my ink blended background and then I went over the entire stencil with Gina K Black Onxy Premium Die Ink. And what a beautiful design it creates!! I cut the panel down using a Stitched Rectangles die and I attached it to a side folding card base. I used the CZ Design Thanks Die and I cut the top layer out three times so give it a little dimension. The top layer is Glossy Black Card Stock and the lower 2 layers I just used black card stock. I used a few Silver Pearls as an embellishment to finish it off.

For this design I used Squeezed Lemonade, Spiced Marmalade and Picked Raspberry for a not so bright look. I created the background the same as above. I used the Happy Birthday Brush Script die by Simon Says Stamp.

For my next card I used the Sun Spots Stencil by Gina K. I used the same neon inks and the same Thanks die and my sub-sentiment is from the Big Thanks Words Stamp Set by Simon.

These pictures don’t do the cards justice but they are so bright and vibrant in person.

For this final card I ink blended Peacock Feathers and Wilted Violet Distress Oxide Inks. I used the Sun Spots Stencil again and the same Thanks die. I trimmed my panel down using the Stitched Rectangles Die and I attached it to an A2 size Glossy Black background.

So now it’s YOUR turn. Happy Crafting!!

Ok, so without further ado, I’d like to share the card I made using the new Vitamin Sea stamp set. This stamp set is awesome!! Who doesn’t love mermaids??

I started out by stamping and masking the mermaid onto the rock. Then I copic colored the image. I went over her tail and hair with my Aqua Shimmer pen and then to make her tail shiny as if it were wet, I added Crystal Glaze to just her tail.

I set her aside and started in on my background. I ink blended distress oxide inks in Squeezed Lemonade, Spiced Marmalade and Candied Apple. Once my mermaid tail was dry, I fussy cut her and the rock out and glued it to my ink blended background.

Next I started working on the shaker element. I used two sizes of the Nesting Diamonds die to create a frame. I used Banana Card Stock for the frame. I cut the ink blended background with the largest of the two nesting dies and also a piece of Heat Resistant Acetate. I glued the acetate to the back of the frame.

I used some Foam Strips to go around the back of the frame. Then I added my shaker bits to the frame and acetate. Next I attached the ink blended background to the frame so that my shaker element is completely sealed.

I cut a piece of patterned paper to 4.25″ x 5.5″ and stamped my sentiment in the lower right corner. Next I used Double Sided Adhesive to attach my shaker element to the patterned paper. Lastly, I attached the entire design to a top folding card base.

Next stop on the hop is Jennifer Kotas.

Embossed Dragonflies

Hello again!! It’s time for a brand new challenge at the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge.  This week the challenge is

Emboss It

We are showcasing Simon Says Stamp Products this week.  If you have any of these products, we’d love to see them used, but it’s certainly not a requirement to join the challenge.

As always, the generous folks at Simon Says Stamp will be giving away a $25 voucher to one randomly selected winner to shop at the fabulous Simon Says Stamp Store.  You can enter 5 times which means you can make 5 different projects following this week’s prompt and have 5 chances to win a shopping spree!! This card was super easy and super quick to make. Just about everything I used is from Simon Says Stamp. If not made by Simon then definitely available at Simon Says Stamp. All I did was I took a piece of Rose Gold Metallic Card Stock and emboss it with the Vine Canopy Embossing Folder.

I set the background aside and die cut 3 dragonflies using the Etched Dragonfly die by Simon Says Stamp.

I also cut out the Groovy Happy Birthday die and I ink blended them all using Wilted Violet and Salty Ocean distress oxide inks.

I cut the Groovy Happy Birthday out two more times and I stacked them together to pop them up a bit from the card front.

I love this color combination. I went over the dragonflies and the sentiment with my Aqua Shimmer Pen to give it some much needed sparkle. I had the shine from the rose gold metallic card stock but I needed that sparkle too.

I cut some 3D Foam Squares in half and added it to the back of my dragonflies.

So now it’s YOUR turn. Happy Crafting!!

It’s Your Day To Shine

Hello again!! It’s time for a brand new challenge at the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge.  This week the challenge is

Fun With Dies

We are showcasing My Favorite Things Products this week.

I love working with dies so I loved this challenge. A good die can really make a card shine. I had so much fun putting my cute little vehicle together. The die is called Carpool by MFT. Once I had my vehicle put together, I set it aside.

I used stamps from my stash and I colored them with my copic markers.

I decided to pop up just the trees from my background stamp so since the tree trunks are so thin, I stamped the image on my card base as well so that when popped up, you can see the same image underneath my popped up trees and not just my foam adhesive strips. I hope that makes sense… The grass and trees are all one image but only the trees are dimensional.

I also added dimension to my car. For the sky I used an MFT stencil called Mini Clouds Edge and Salvaged Patina Distress Oxide Ink with a little Peacock Feathers towards the top.

My sentiment is from Simon’s Sentiment Strips Bold Birthday Acetate and I foiled it with Pink Melon to match my bus/van.

I used some Crystal Glaze to add some shine to the heart and the headlights and then I used my Aqua Shimmer Pen to add some sparkle to the steering wheel and also the headlights. How cute are these little mice carpooling? I love them.

So now it’s YOUR turn. Happy Crafting!!

Love You Like

Hello again!! It’s time for a brand new challenge at the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge.  This week the challenge is

Love Is In The Air

We are showcasing Clearly Besotted Products this week.

Sounds like a win/win to me!! I’ve linked all of the supplies that I used at the end of this post. Compensated affiliate links used where possible at no cost to you.

I wasn’t sure if I was going to be able to participate in this challenge so unfortunately I didn’t have any products from Clearly Besotted that I could use for this challenge. But I have plenty of Simon products so I used that instead.

Love is certainly in the air with Valentine’s Day right around the corner!! My 15 year old son has his first girlfriend so he’s trying to do all kinds of odds and ends to earn some money to buy her something. I think it’s so cute. Ahhh, to be young again…

Anyway, ok I made this card using the Jumbled Hearts stamp by Simon Says Stamp. First I watercolored a background using these really pretty glitter watercolors that I had in my stash and then I heat embossed the Jumbled Hearts with white embossing powder.

I used Love You die by CZ Design and the coordinating stamp set Love You Like for the sub sentiment. I die cut the Love You three times and layered them to add some dimension.

I trimmed my card panel down using one of Waffle Flower’s A2 Layers dies and I added some craft foam to pop it up a bit. I then added it to a top folding card base.

I added a few Amethyst pearls as an embellishment and then my card was complete.

The message inside is also from the Love You Like stamp set by CZ Design.

So now it’s YOUR turn. Happy Crafting!!
