I love working with dies so I loved this challenge. A good die can really make a card shine. I had so much fun putting my cute little vehicle together. The die is called Carpool by MFT. Once I had my vehicle put together, I set it aside.
I used stamps from my stash and I colored them with my copic markers.
I decided to pop up just the trees from my background stamp so since the tree trunks are so thin, I stamped the image on my card base as well so that when popped up, you can see the same image underneath my popped up trees and not just my foam adhesive strips. I hope that makes sense… The grass and trees are all one image but only the trees are dimensional.
I used some Crystal Glaze to add some shine to the heart and the headlights and then I used my Aqua Shimmer Pen to add some sparkle to the steering wheel and also the headlights. How cute are these little mice carpooling? I love them.

I used the Warm Christmas Stamp Set from this release and let me tell ya, this is my kinda holiday!! Oh how I wouldn’t give to spend the holidays on the beach somewhere warm and sandy. In fact, I just might have to add that to my bucket list.
So for this card, I started out by coloring all of my images with my Copic markers on X-Press It Copic Blending Card. I fussy cut them all and set them aside to move on to the ink blending. For my sand, I created my own stencil awhile back and it was perfect for this card. I had the On the Horizon Lines Stencil in mind and at the time it was out of stock so I thought, I have the stencil material, why not create my own hilly landscape. Starting off with an A2 size piece of Bristol Smooth Card Stock, I masked off the top of the panel and used Antique Linen, Scattered Straw and Gathered Twigs Distress Inks to create my sand. I splattered the sand with Gathered Twigs mixed with a little water and then with White Gouache and water.
I used the other half of the homemade stencil and just a straight edge from another stencil and masked off the sand to work on my ocean. I ink blended Tumbled Glass, Mermaid Lagoon and Prize Ribbon Distress Oxide inks for my ocean. I reversed the straight edge of a stencil so I could move on to my sky. I ink blended Mustard Seed, Abandoned Coral and Wilted Violet Distress Oxide inks for the sky.
To add a little interest to my sky, I added a few rolling clouds by adding a little water with a fine paintbrush. I heat embossed my sentiment using Alabaster White Embossing Powder. I trimmed my entire panel down to 4″ x 5.25″ and I started to assemble my card.
I popped Santa and the palm tree up with some 3D Foam Squares and then I glued everyone else into place using my Bearly Art Craft Glue. To make my tree shine a bit, I added Crystal Glaze over all of the lightbulbs and the round ornaments. I also added a touch on the Blue Hawaiian cocktail that Santa is enjoying. For a final touch I added a few Tiny Iridescent Bubbles by Studio Katia. I attached my card panel to a top folding landscape card base.
For my second card, I used this adorable snowman from the same Warm Christmas Stamp Set. I started out with an A2 size piece of Bristol Smooth Card Stock. I used my homemade stencil to mask off the sky and did the sand the same way as I did above. I went a little heavier with the Gathered Twigs though. I also used one of the A2 Masks Stencil to keep this card clean and simple.
I masked off the sand and worked on my sky. I ink blended Tumbled Glass, Mermaid Lagoon and Blueprint Sketch Distress Inks. I set that aside to dry and I colored my snowman. I know this isn’t going to sound good but I fussy cut the snowman out and I respectfully trimmed off his arms as they were too thin to fussy cut.
Before gluing my snowman in place, I stamped him on my background panel so that his arms would no longer be missing. See, no snowman was harmed during the making of this card.

Hello all. I’m so excited to share the newest release by Simon Says Stamp called Holiday Sparkle. Click HERE to be taken to the entire release. You do NOT want to miss this one. Be ready to fill that shopping cart!! I told myself I wasn’t going to place another order until next month, but I can already tell you that that’s not going to work.
I made a card to share with you specifically for this release. I used the Warm Christmas stamp set to make this card. Stay tuned because I’ve made a few more that I’ll be sharing very soon.
This card is super cool because it glows in the dark!! But let’s back up and start from the beginning. I started out with an A2 sized piece of Bristol Smooth Card Stock. I also made a second card using Neenah Solar White 110 lb. card stock because I wanted to compare the differences in the background. To be honest, they look pretty much identical. I think the color blend is slightly better on the bristol smooth card stock but not much at all.
I made a hilly mask using stencil material for a previous card and it was perfect for this card too. I made it myself because at the time I wanted the On the Horizon Lines Stencil but it was out of stock so since I have the stencil material on hand, I thought I’d just quickly make it myself until I can get my hands on the On the Horizon Lines stencil. I masked off the sky and covered the bottom of my panel with Simon Says Stamp Clear Ink. I also used a VersaMarker to get right up next to the mask.
I colored the palm tree from the Warm Christmas stamp set with my Copic Markers and I fussy cut it out. I decided I wanted to try Lawn Fawn’s Glow In the Dark Stencil Paste on the lightbulbs to see if it was enough to make them glow and it is! They do!! I tried to capture it in a photo but I didn’t capture it well. I stamped the palm tree on my background panel so I could trim off the hanging ornaments making it much easier to fussy cut.
I attached my panel to a side folding card base and my card was complete! I didn’t add any embellishments because I wanted to keep it simple and I thought the stars in the night sky were enough.

I don’t make Halloween cards too often so I was super excited to get to use this little gem again. This is The Boo Crew stamp set by Simon Says Stamp.
I colored all of my images with my copic markers on X–Press It Copic Blending Card. Then I used my silhouette to cut out this spooky tree twice and layered them to give it a touch of dimension.
Once I pulled the mask off, I smooshed Squeezed Lemonade and Iced Spruce distress inks with some water on my media mat and painted the moon. For some finishing touches, I stamped a few bats and I heat embossed the spiderweb and spider with black embossing powder. I also heat embossed the second portion of the sentiment with white embossing powder on black card stock.

Our challenge is Fall Colors and we had this gorgeous mood board to inspire us.
I LOVE the aqua and the violet in the mood board combined with the oranges, it’s just gorgeous!
The stamp set that I used is so adorable!! It’s called Gnome Home by Colorado Craft Co. This card is pretty self explanatory but I’ll just break it down quickly.
I colored the images with my copic markers. The mood board for this challenge was so much fun. I love the traditional fall colors with that beautiful pop of teal or aqua. I had fun with this challenge because I wouldn’t have necessarily chosen these particular colors, if it weren’t for the mood board so it kinda pushed me out of my comfort zone.
I decided to add a turquoise border as well just to add more of that beautiful color. I used the largest Stitched Rectangle Frame from Lawn Fawn for my frame. I die cut it three times and layered them to frame in my scene.
I used one of the sentiments from the same stamp set and then I adhered everything to my top folding card base. I also popped up the little gnome a bit with a few 3D Foam Squares to add a little dimension. To add some sparkle, I went over all of the violet areas with a Nuvo Aqua Shimmer pen.

I know this stamp set is on it’s way out from Simon Says Stamp, but I’ve been itching to use it ever since I got it so I thought this was my opportunity. It’s called Cone of Shame by Whimsy Stamps. It is no longer being stocked but at the moment it is still in stock.
I started out by stamping my images where I wanted them and then I colored them and the ground with my copic markers.
I added a little Nuvo Crystal Glaze on the cone and on the dog’s nose to add a little shine. I adhered my panel to a A2 size piece of Slate card stock and attached it all to a top folding card base.

This was my first ever pop up card so I wasn’t sure what to expect but I like the way it turned out. It’s a cozy little tea party! I’m hoping to have a video tutorial to add to this post and my YouTube channel soon to explain my process so for now I’ll just share some photos and a list of products that I used.

Are you guys enjoying STAMPtember so far?? Simon’s newest release is AMAZING!!! I can’t wait to see what else is in store for us throughout the month. So for this card, I did my best at copic coloring my images. The images are from the new stamp set called Butterfly Ranunculus.
After I copic colored my images, I fussy cut them out. I set them aside and worked on my background. I took a piece of lemon chiffon card stock and I ran it through the vine canopy embossing folder. I trimmed my panel down to 4″x5.25″.
I took a piece of black card stock and I trimmed just a little off to make it roughly 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″. I just wanted the white card base to peek out a bit.
I used a scrap of black card stock and I white heat embossed a sentiment from the same stamp set. I glued it to my card panel. I popped both images up with foam squares and I placed them on my panel as well. They were hanging off the edge a bit so I trimmed them down.
I wanted some sparkle on this card so I used a nuvo aqua shimmer pen just on the pink areas of the flowers.

I definitely have the summertime blues. My son goes back to school next Wednesday and it feels like summer just started!! When I was in school, we didn’t go back until after Labor Day and I liked it that way. I know they get more week long breaks during the year so it does balance out, but it sure feels like I blinked and summer was over. Anyway, let’s get to it. I created the background first for this card because I wasn’t quite sure if I was going to like it or not and I knew it was going to have to be set aside to dry. I used several alcohol inks in blues and greens and aquas on Yupo paper. I’ve listed them all below in my products used list.
I took a couple different brown copic markers and I peppered the desert storm card stock to try and make it resemble sand or gravel. Then I decide to take a little white gouache and a makeup sponge and try and make the waters edge look foamy. Like you’d see at the ocean’s edge. I like the way it turned out, I only wish I would’ve added another layer once it was dry. Next time. I popped a couple of my colored images up with adhesive squares (large and small) and then I started gluing everything in place.
For my sentiment I took another piece of desert storm card stock and I white heat embossed it. I cut it out using an old MFT fishtail banner die. I attached my card panel onto a top folding card base.
We are showcasing Tim Holtz Products this week. If you have any of these products, we’d love to see them used, but it’s certainly not a requirement to join the challenge.

This card came together quite differently than I had envisioned, but sometimes those are your best creations. First I colored this beautiful image by Simon Says Stamp called So Beautiful, which is kind of an older stamp. It’s roughly a 6″x6″ rubber stamp so it’s twice the size that you see on my card.
I only used half of the image today but if I had more time, I would have made a similar card using the other half. I copic colored the image on X-Press It Blending Card and then I cut it out using a stitched nesting die from my stash. A similar item is the Nesting Rounded Rectangles die by Hero Arts.
I attached the embossed card stock to a side folding card base. I popped the front panel up with some white craft foam and then I heat embossed my sentiment from an old stamp set by Simon Says Stamp called Bouquet of Thanks. If you have this stamp set, cherish it because it’s no longer available at Simon. I heat embossed on black card stock with white embossing powder and then I fussy cut it out and attached it to the top of my card. I added a few Teal Ocean Pearls as an embellishment.
I went over the flowers with a Nuvo Aqua Shimmer Pen to give it some sparkle. I know the camera doesn’t do it any justice, but I was trying to capture the beautiful shimmer.
