And now I want to share with you what I made using this gorgeous Poinsettia Background stamp to make my 2 cards. I used it for a traditional Holiday card and then I used it as the background for a Thinking of You card. I love how versatile this stamp can be.

I heat embossed the image with Platinum embossing powder and then colored it with watercolor, before adding my sentiment. I used Tonic’s Honey Gold Mirror Card as background layer.

I didn’t have any gold half pearls so I just colored some with with my Y17 Copic marker.
I think this Poinsettia stamp would be really pretty to use as a background image for many different kinds of cards.

For this 2nd card, I did a light layer of distress oxide inks and then heat embossed it with clear embossing powder, then went over the background with the distress inks one more time only with a heavier hand this time.

I added a Thinking of You sentiment from SSS and the frame is called Wonky Scalloped Frames by Avery Elle. I popped the frame up with some craft foam and added a few embellishments
That’s it for me today! Don’t forget to head to the Simon Says Stamp blog and check out all the inspiration featuring products from the Stamptember release.

Very nice. I like the way you used the stamp as a background for thinking of you. It makes the stamp seem way more versatile. I like that background too.

I love both of your cards. It is nice to see a different use on the second one. Being poinsettia doesn’t matter with the colors and message you used. Great idea. I would have saved that stamp for every Christmas.

Beautiful cards Misty. I especially love the first one. I think you have “inspired” me to go for this poinsettia BG stamp sooner, rather than later. LOL
