Fall is now is full swing, the air is crisper, the leaves are changing colors and we definitely have cooler temperatures.
I let the patterned paper do most of the work this week, but I did do a little ink blending on the Fall die and the leaves.
We are showcasing My Favorite Things Products this week. If you have any of these products, we’d love to see them used, but it’s certainly not a requirement to join the challenge.

I can’t believe it’s already almost Halloween!! I’m not ready for the colder weather yet. But it was fun to make a Halloween card this week, before the Christmas cards start pouring out.
I started out on some Bristol Smooth card stock and ink blended Squeezed Lemonade and Barn Door distress oxide inks. I then took the Tim Holtz Stamptember stencil and some Nuvo Moonstone Glimmer paste and went right over the top of my ink blended background. This Stamptember stencil is no longer available, but Tim Holtz has a very similar one called Hocus Pocus.
I decided to splatter some Black Soot distress ink on the back ground for some added interest. I used the Halloween Hill die by Impression Obsession for the silhouette effect but I wanted to use the houses from the Best Witches stamp set by MFT so I just trimmed the house off the die and replaced it with the ghost filled houses.
I copic colored my images and popped the witch up with some foam squares. I heat embossed the sentiment from the Best Witches stamp set in white embossing powder.
To finish off my card, I used a Nuvo Aqua Shimmer pen to add a little glitter here and there. I rounded the top corners and added my design to a top folding black card base. I used the same colors to add a panel to the inside so that a written message could be added. I thought it would be fun to add a few details to the inside with the Trick or Treat stamp set by SSS.
With the holidays right around the corner, who’s ready to start making some holiday cards? Who’s already started making holiday cards? Who doesn’t even bother? Well, I have these grand plans every year to make Christmas cards, but then I NEVER have time to actually make them!!
This week’s Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge is Christmas and now with this lovely new release that’s available, I just might get a few cards out this year!!
I used this adorable Reindeer Background stamp to make my card. I ink blended Chipped Sapphire and Black Soot distress oxides around the edges of my Sea Glass card stock.
The Eliza Snowflake and Stained Glass Greetings stamp set finished this card off nicely.
Scroll down to see the entire new release!! Below that, you’ll find my list of products used to make this card.

My first Christmas card of the season!!! Hopefully not my last…. I always have these high hopes of making gorgeous Christmas cards and sending them out to all of my loved ones, but that hasn’t happened in the last 2 years. I wait too long and then I get too busy. I’m hoping to change that this year!!
I loved this adorable stamp set by Neat and Tangled called Get Yeti. I loved it so much that I decided to make 2 different cards. The 2nd card, I used a stamp set and die from Neat and Tangled called Hello Winter that are now retired, but I didn’t realize that until I was making my product list. I could’ve swore it was just on Simon Says Stamp a week or so ago, and if not, I may be losing it a bit. Retired or not, it still turned out pretty darn cute.
It never photographs well, but I covered my snowman with the Nuvo Aqua Shimmer pen. I added a little Unicorn Dust to the top of his hat.
I added a little Nuvo Crystal Glaze here and there for some added interest.
I used the Distress Resist Spray on my background in hopes it would look like snow. I’m not sure that was achieved, but I still like how it turned out.
Here’s the 2nd card that I made. I used the same method for my background, just different colors.
I really like how these both turned out. That yeti and friends are just so darn CUTE!!
As October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month we’re helping to highlight the need to be vigilant. If you need to see a Doctor or think its time for a mammogram then please pick up the phone and make the appointment! I know I’m going to!!

I made a clean and simple card this week, one that can be easily replicated. I think having a few of these in your stash would be nice to have in a pinch. It’s always nice just to have a few “Hello” cards on hand to send a quick note to a friend when you’re thinking of them.
I made this specifically for a friend and love it so much that I’m going to make a few more in a few other colors as soon as I have a couple minutes to spare. No, you know what? Today is my Birthday and I want to make a couple of cards so I’m going to put the laundry aside and do just that today!! I’ve made an executive decision.
I sure hope she likes this card. I enjoyed making it. I LOVE this new stencil that I used. It was part of a Stamptember collab with Tim Holtz and Stampers Anonymous and boy did it sell out fast!! This was one that I had to jump on as soon as I saw it. The stamp set that it came with is really cute!! Maybe I’ll find time to play with that stamp set today as well. I make all of these wonderful plans but my days rarely go as planned.
I’m going to make this again using purples and see how it turns out. I’ll share it with you as soon as I make it.
