What a week it’s been!! We were without power for 5 days which was stressful enough, but then it came on right before Halloween and Halloween is MADNESS on our street. We handed out candy to 1,651 kids this year!! I put A LOT of work into getting our street closed for a few hours on Halloween since the entire town comes to our street, all in an effort to keep the kiddo’s safe. It’s so stressful, but it’s totally worth it. It’s even more stressful when we’ve been without power for 5 days!! I had a blast last night passing out candy and every year I say I’m NOT doing this again next year… I’m hoping another family with little ones will step up and take on the task of getting the encroachment permit and going door to door and getting volunteers. My kid doesn’t even trick or treat!! I just want to pass out candy!! I guess we’ll see what happens next year.
Anyway, here’s my project for this week’s challenge. We didn’t have internet either so I’m a couple days late, but better late than never, right??
I colored a few with my Copics and a few with my polychromos. I kept these simple. I found a patterned paper that I liked and worked around that. I just so happened to have an ink blended background that hadn’t been used yet which matched perfectly. I believe it’s Victorian Velvet distress oxide.
The stamp set I used it called Happy Owlidays by Sunny Studio. It’s so stinkin adorable because not only does it include these adorable owls, but it also includes these precious holiday costumes/outfits!!
I added the antlers to the tag above, how cute is that??
There’s even a gift the owl can wear!! I used MFT’s Tag Builder Blueprint 5 for the tags.
I did a couple traditional tags as well just for fun.
