Happy Thanksgiving week everyone!! I’m sure many of you have crazy, busy days this week like I do so I’ll keep this short and sweet. I made a simple card for this week’s challenge, but I absolutely love it!! This image by Penny Black is just so darn adorable!! The stamp set is called Carefree Christmas.
I sure wish I was having a carefree week!! Every year I participate in a craft fair that starts the day after Thanksgiving so every year the week before Turkey Day and the week of, are insanely hectic!! I’m trying to get all my craft fair stuff done by the end of today so I can dedicate tomorrow to helping out my Mom. She does most of the cooking and opens their house to all 20 of us (that’s siblings, spouses and kids) so the least I can do is head out there early and help her as much as I can. Thanksgiving is my favorite Holiday so I don’t want to be stressing about what I still have left to do for the fair.
I colored my image with copic markers and then used the Falling Snow stencil by SSS over the top. I used Unicorn Dust for the snow on the ground and also on Teddy’s hat and little Mouse’s hat. I went over all the metal parts with Nuvo Crystal Glaze to give it that shiny look.
I used the largest Stitched Rectangle Frame by Lawn Fawn with Tonic Scarlet Organza Mirror Card for that beautiful red. I cut it out 4 more times using white card stock to pop it up for some dimension. Then I attached it to a top folding card base.
