Men Watch Sports

Hello again!! It’s time for a brand new challenge at the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge.  This week the challenge is

Let’s Have Some Fun

We are showcasing the always hilarious Riley and Co. Products this week.  If you have any of these products, we’d love to see them used, but it’s certainly not a requirement to join the challenge.

As always, the generous folks at Simon Says Stamp will be giving away a $25 voucher to one randomly selected winner to shop at the fabulous Simon Says Stamp Store.  You can enter 5 times which means you can make 5 different projects following this week’s prompt and have 5 chances to win a shopping spree!! Sounds like a win/win to me!! I’ve linked all of the supplies that I used at the end of this post. Compensated affiliate links used where possible at no cost to you.

I had to use this stamp because I live for a good murder mystery. For awhile, that was pretty much all I ever watched. I started to worry my hubby because in order to relax at night, that’s what I would watch. It’s just a little joke between my hubby and I and it hit close to home so I thought this stamp was perfect!

The stamp is from Riley and Co. and it’s called Men Watch Sports. I decided to turn this into an Anniversary card just to add to the humor. I mean, why not, right? To start my shaker card, I took a piece of card stock from my stash and embossed it with Simon Says Stamp’s Kaleidoscope embossing folder.

Next I used Mama Elephant’s Mod Heart die set to cut out my card front and the hearts. I used Simon’s Woodgrain Card Stock for my card front. Then I heat embossed my sentiment on a piece of acetate which I then attached to the back of my card front. After that, I went around the entire heart with 2 layers of foam tape. I added the extra all over the back of my card front.

Then I added my sequins to the center of the embossed background and covered her up with the card front. The sequins are just a mix that I made up awhile back and had left over from another project.

I added a small heart to the front from the Mod Heart die set using some Luxe Glitter Card Stock from Simon. Then I cut it out 3 more times with just plain black card stock to add some dimension.

To finish her off, I added some Exotic Onyx Pearls by Studio Katia and attached the whole thing to a side folding card base.

Here’s what the inside looks like. I used a stamp from the Something for Everything stamp set by MFT.

So now it’s YOUR turn. Happy Crafting!!
