My First Slider Card

Hello crafty friends!! Please join me for a new challenge at the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge.  This week the challenge is

Moving Parts

We are showcasing Lawn Fawn Products this week.  If you have any of these products, we’d love to see them used, but it’s certainly not a requirement to join the challenge.

As always, the generous folks at Simon Says Stamp will be giving away a $25 voucher to one randomly selected winner to shop at the fabulous Simon Says Stamp Store.  You can enter 5 times which means you can make 5 different projects following this week’s prompt and have 5 chances to win a shopping spree!! Sounds like a win/win to me!! I’ve linked all of the supplies that I used at the end of this post. Compensated affiliate links used where possible at no cost to you.

I have my first ever slider card to share with you this week!! While I know some people are probably thinking, “Slider card? That’s old news.” But for me, it is not. I don’t really know why I’ve never done one before. I’m sure a little intimidation had something to do with it. But I thought this was the perfect challenge to give it a try!!

How CUTE is this little whale??? I used several stamp sets and dies from Lawn Fawn to create this card. I won’t explain step by step what I did, I have a video posted above if you’d like to see how I made it, but I’ll list the products that I used. The whale is from the Get Well Before ‘N Afters stamp set. The fish are from Fintastic Friends and Keep On Swimming stamp sets. The clouds and sun are from my stash, but Lawn Fawn has almost the same clouds, they’re called Simple Puffy Cloud Frames die and a comparable sun is in the Spring Showers die set.

I used the Simple Wavy Borders die along with the Sandy Beach Accents die for the little wave accents. The sand was created with the Simple Stitched Hillside Borders die and the word “Thanks” was created using Simon Says Stamp’s Rounded Alphabet Small wafer die. And of course, the slider is from the Slide On Over die. I used Lawn Fawn’s Large and Small Stitched Rectangle Stackables die. I used the largest stitched rectangle out of both sets.

For the inside, I used Lawn Fawn’s Critters in the Sea.

So now it’s YOUR turn. Happy Crafting!!
