I had so much fun making this card this week. I love doing night sky scenes because they turn out so different each time. I started out on a piece of Arches Cold Press Water Color paper. I cut it to a little over 8.5″ x 3.5″ so that I could tape it down to my cutting board. I used my Mijello Mission Gold Water Color Palette to create this beautiful night sky.

Once my background was dry, I stamped the star images from the Seeing Stars stamp set by Simon Says Stamp and heat embossed it with white embossing powder. I also heat embossed the sentiment on a strip of black card stock.

I set my background aside and colored my adorable little bears image from the Bear Hugs stamp set by Mama Elephant with Copic markers. I used the Grassy Edges wafter die by SSS and some black card stock to cut out my grass. I wanted my bears popped up a bit so I used Thin Black Foam Squares on the back of my bears as well as on the grass.

I decided to put a little Vellum behind my sentiment to make it pop a bit more. I used one of the border dies from the Pretty Pink Posh Stitched Borders 3 set to cut the vellum and I used the Sentiment Labels die by SSS to cut out the sentiment strip. I added a banner end with my scissors, but the die does come with a separate die to add the banner edge. I added a few of those black foam squares to the back of the sentiment and placed it on top of the vellum.
